CULTURAL EXCHANGE

During your cultural and academic exchange in France, you will be surrounded by French teenagers of your age. Thus, you will have an opportunity to better learn the language, culture and their way of living. You will be surprised by how different and, at the same, alike we are.

THERE IS A LOT TO DISCOVER IN FRANCE

Our academic year in France program is carried out in different areas of the country.
Being a member of a French family during the stay, making new friends and learning French will be some of your goals for this special academic year. We guarantee you that it will be an unforgettable experience that you will never forget.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN ADVANTAGES OF STUDYING IN THE UNITED STATES?

After this experience you will get fluency in French and become more mature than your classmates back in Spain. Thus, the more open you are, the easier your adaptation will be.
Throughout the course, our students create very important bonds with their host family and the friends they gain. At the same time, they learn to appreciate more what they have left waiting for them home: meals, their family and friends…
With this experience you will learn to be much more independent, mature and tolerant. You will be lucky to live with people from another culture totally different from yours. Food, schedules, language and much more that you will discover on your own. And all these advantages with only one academic year abroad.

Accommodation

Host Families

Each family is carefully selected: middle class living standards must be met. The family, you and the school are the three pillars of this experience, that is why we put all our effort to make your relationship with them as good as possible.

We will advise you when it comes to preparing your dossier and, together, we will make your request unique and special that will serve as a useful tool to let your possible host families see you as a perfect candidate.

You will be considered as one more member of the family from the very first minute. You will spend a lot of time together with the family, learn their culture and their way of living as well as it will also be your guide during the first weeks and the rest of your stay. You will join the friends gatherings, participate in barbecues, help with house chores, you will comment your march in school, experience Halloween, share Christmas traditions and so on.

Of all the relationships you make in Canada the one you will have with your host family will be the most special and the longest one, that is a connection you will have for life.

Boarding school

The students can stay in the residential area of the school.

If there’s no residential area belonging to the school of choice, the students will be presented with an accommodation of another institution. For instance, if a pupil is studying in Lycée catholique Largenté, he/she will be situated in the boarding school of Collège catholique La Salle Saint Bernard.

Local coordinators

The local coordinators in France will help the students with any problem that might surge. Students will be able to reach them by phone 24 hours per day.

Similarly, local coordinators will supervise the academic records of the students and will be in touch with the schools’ teachers.

Who will help me during my stay?

Every day you will find “daily” problems on your way that you will have to face and probably solve by yourself with no need to ask for help. These situations are the ones that will make you become more mature and grow as a person.

When you encounter situations you cannot solve on your own, your host family, your teachers, the school management, the local coordinator of the program and our team in Spain will be at your disposal to offer you the necessary help.

What about the validation of the course?

Prior to departure, there will be a meeting, where we will clarify all the important points to choose the subjects carefully during your stay we will supervise that election during the first days of school.

During your stay and once you have received our consent of your selection, you will only have to worry about passing your subjects. Moreover, we will explain the steps of how to bring your notes back to Spain, which we will later translate and and make them ready to submit.

Medical assistance

Along their stay, all the students of the program have a health insurance. But we believe it not to be enough, so we have Civil Liability insurance included in the program.

In the event that the student needs medical assistance, he/she must inform both his/her host family and the local coordinator, who will be in charge of all the arrangements.
