The English Program for Families in Ireland takes place in Cork.
Cork is the capital of the county which has the same name and also the second largest city in Ireland. The city is on the south coast and has the typical characteristics of an Irish city – green hills, cliffs and lakes. Furthermore, the Lee River divides Cork in three different parts because of its two canals.
Cork, the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2005, is characterized by its rich culture. Additionally, it offers a great archaeological, literary, artisan, artistic and musical richness. It is also characterized by its special charm which can be found walking through its steep and narrow streets, markets, ports and crossing bridges. Cork has the second largest natural port in the world, which has been counting as an economic motor for many years.
Without any second thoughts it can be said that Cork´s unique atmosphere makes it the perfect destination to study English.
How to get to Cork: Depending on the airport where are you coming from, there are two options: Land at the airport in Dublin and then take the bus to Cork o fly directly to Cork. There are more and more airlines which offer direct flights to Cork depending on where their main airport is.
Thanks to the cheap flights offered by Irish airlines like Ryanair and Aer Lingus, Dublin and Cork became perfect destinations for a short get-away during the weekend.

When the students arrive at the school, they need to take a placement test in order to be put in the right group corresponding their English level. All classes are multicultural.
Special accommodation for families
The families will be accommodated in apartments with 2 dormitories completely furnished. The size and location of the apartments can vary depending on the needs of each family. Meals are not included but the apartments have kitchens which can be used by the families.
Classes for adults
When the students arrive at the school, they need to take a placement test in order to be put in the right group corresponding their English level. All classes are multicultural and the maximum number of students is 13.
There are two options for this course:
Standard English Course with 20 classes per week.
Intensive Course with 26 classes per week.

The English course in Cork covers all different skills to learn a language: Written and oral compression and expression.

JUNIOR PROGRAM (7-15 years)
ACTIVITY CAMP (5-11 years)
The Activity Camp program is especially for children from age 5 to 11 during specific dates. This program is carried out by young Irish. The children will be divided according to their age. The program focuses on imagination and collaborative games which help to improve social skills and get to know all the other students more easily.

SOCIAL PROGRAM
The adults can directly reserve the activities and excursion which they are interested in. The have the option to go on a full-day-trip on Saturdays and to participate in daily activities in the afternoons together with all the other students. Those activities are not included in the price. In most cases we suggest renting a car in order to enjoy the surroundings and travel. It is worth exploring Ireland, also called the Emerald Island.
Activities for children: Arts and crafts, pottery, Irish Dance, pet farm visit…
Activities for teenager: Bowling, disco, movie theater, dog race…
Without any doubts, those activities help to get to know all the other students and to practice the language.
