Newcastle, with its population of about 250,000 inhabitants, is the capital of the northeast of England and it is located on both sides of the River Tyne; what´s more, it is situated in a close proximity to Scotland.
This city is a home to two universities and is full of opportunities for our students.
It has been voted the second best city in Europe for its social life and has the favorite street of all Britain, Gray Street, is located there.
In addition, it has a magnificent public transport network: you can reach places like the airport in just 15 minutes using metro.

The school
Our school of English courses in Newcastle is located in the center of the city. It was founded in 1978 and has the capacity to accommodate around 300 students.
It has 17 large classes and has excellent facilities with a laboratory, self-study center, library, computers with free Internet access, cafeteria and a room for students, where they can have a «snack» and socialize with the rest of their classmates.
Our school has highly qualified native teachers who specialize in teaching English to foreign students.

Dates of the program: The program can be done individually from 17th June to 12th August 2019. Minimum 2 weeks, maximum 4 weeks.
Accommodation
Host family: The students of the English courses in Newcastle are accommodated in single rooms. Our youth program includes full board from Monday to Sunday.
Lunch is held in the school cafeteria or in a restaurant near the school, thus avoiding the packed lunch.

All families have been inspected by the British Council. Some of our families live about 20 minutes from the center of Newcastle, where our school is located. Living with a family offers the opportunity to learn about the customs and habits of English families from within.
The first day we deliver a bus pass for those students who need public transport in order to get to school. The family shows the student how to get from the house to the school so that they can make the journey alone.

The classes
The school of English courses in Newcastle is accredited by the British Council. Offers 15 weekly classes (60 min.) Distributed in 7 levels from beginner to advanced.
All teachers are fully qualified and have teaching experience with foreign students and all our courses are within the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Since it has been shown that enjoying we learn more, the classes are very fun and work all the skills: listening comprehension, oral expression, reading comprehension, writing etc. In addition, progress in learning is controlled through periodic exams. Students often take work home to stay in touch with the language and improve quickly. The school provides all the teaching material for the classes.

SOCIAL PROGRAM:
The school offers an extensive program of social and cultural activities that varies weekly: guided tours, parties, sports activities, excursions.
- Program of socio-cultural activities and excursions from Monday to Saturday: activities every afternoon from Monday to Friday + 3 nights of recreational activities.
- Full day excursion on Saturday.
On these excursions you can visit cities like Durham, with its fantastic castle and its impressive cathedral; or York, the jewel of the northern England; The Lake District and much more.
The school also organizes weekend excursions to Scotland visiting Edinburgh and the magnificent Scottish landscapes.
