Accommodation
Host Families
Each family is carefully selected: middle class living standards must be met. The family, you and the school are the three pillars of this experience, that is why we put all our effort to make your relationship with them as good as possible.
We will advise you when it comes to preparing your dossier and, together, we will make your request unique and special that will serve as a useful tool to let your possible host families see you as a perfect candidate.
You will be considered as one more member of the family from the very first minute. You will spend a lot of time together with the family, learn their culture and their way of living as well as it will also be your guide during the first weeks and the rest of your stay. You will join the friends gatherings, participate in barbecues, help with house chores, you will comment your march in school, experience Halloween, share Christmas traditions and so on.
Of all the relationships you make in Canada the one you will have with your host family will be the most special and the longest one, that is a connection you will have for life.
Local coordinators
We have local coordinators in all the destinations along the academic year. They are the people who will be attentive to the students at all times to solve any problem that may arise and help in everything. They will be there for you reachable by phone 24 hours per day.
In addition, the coordinator keeps track of the academic record and is in communication with the school’s faculty. The family receives a report with all the information related to their child (not only their academic record, but also other aspects of the program) on a monthly basis.
Who will help me during my stay?
Every day you will find “daily” problems on your way that you will have to face and probably solve by yourself with no need to ask for help. These situations are the ones that will make you become more mature and grow as a person.
When you encounter situations you cannot solve on your own, your host family, your teachers, the school management, the local coordinator of the program and our team in Spain will be at your disposal to offer you the necessary help.
What about the validation of the course?
Prior to departure, there will be a meeting, where we will clarify all the important points to choose the subjects carefully during your stay we will supervise that election during the first days of school.
During your stay and once you have received our consent of your selection, you will only have to worry about passing your subjects. Moreover, we will explain the steps of how to bring your notes back to Spain, which we will later translate and and make them ready to submit.
