The city – Biarritz

The city of Biarritz offers the advantages of enjoying the Pyrenees mountains and the beach on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. It is located in the southwest of France, near Bayonne and Anglet, approximately 20 km from the Spanish border. It is an open, welcoming and cosmopolitan city.

Its beaches and historical tradition make it a good tourist destination. In addition, it is very famous for its resorts.

How to get to Biarritz: the Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne airport, is located 5 kilometers from the city. You can reach the city by taking public transport from there, which is fast and cheap.

You can also reach Biarritz by taking a bus or a train from Spain.

The school

Our school is located 30 minutes away by bus from the accommodation.

On the first day of school, students take a level test so they can be placed in a group corresponding to their level.

Accommodation

All students of the French course in Biarritz accommodated in host families in double rooms shared with another student of the same sex.

During the week and on excursions, the students eat picnic style lunch. Sunday is the family day, so the students have the meals together with the family.

Full board is provided.

Public transport to get from the families’ house to the school is not included in the price. The cost normally doesn’t exceed 12€ per week..

The classes

The French course in Nice offers 20 weekly lessons divided into 5 days. There are 3 teaching hours daily from Monday to Friday with the next schedule:

There is a 20 minutes break between the classes every day.

The communicative approach helps to develop 4 main skills, important when learning a language: speaking, writing, reading and listening. The teachers, who are native and highly qualified, motivate the students to participate actively in the classes.

SOCIAL PROGRAM:

The students of the French course in Biarritz choose between an additional program of surf or a multisport program. Both programs are held in the evenings from Monday to Friday, except Wednesday.

Thesurf program is done during 4 sessions of 1.5 hours. Schedules may vary according to weather and tides. This program is taught by qualified teachers who adapt the classes to the needs and levels of the participants. The program includes all the necessary equipment.

The multisport program includes 4 initiation sessions to various sports (climbing, rafting, kayaking, trekking, golf, surf, etc.). This program offers new activities every day and every week and includes all the equipment necessary.

In addition to these programs, students have a socio-cultural program of activities and excursions: games, competitions, treasure hunts, karaoke, cinema, sports, etc. Full day excursions are held on Saturdays and Wednesdays evenings.
