The city – splendidly located in the South-East of Ireland

The total immersion programme  with no language course, is mainly carried out in the East of Ireland.

We try to locate the students in small towns since we have verified that the experience they get in those areas is more appealingfor them. Students can attend leisure and sports activities with their host siblings with a complete peace of mind; furthermore, all of those sites are almost always located at walking distance. Besides that, we want to remind you that the Irish are well known for their hospitality and sympathy.

Mayo, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow are the most common counties we send our students to.
Getting to Ireland: Our group will land at Dublin Airport. From there, our coordinator will pick us up and transfer us to the meeting point with the families waiting for us.

The aim of the Immersion Programme

The main objective of the immersion programme with no language course in Ireland, as its name suggests, is that the students are immersed in the Irish language and culture throughout their stay, avoiding any contact with Spanish.
This programme is highly popular not only for improving the level of English, but also for giving the chance to experience first hand how people live in a different country: their customs, gastronomy etc …
The student will be incorporated into the daily routine of the family, being one of them. It is important that the student takes the programme as a great opportunity to discover a new culture and meet new friends. Irish family immersion

The accommodation

The selection of families for the Irish family immersion programme, is done through our coordinator in Ireland. This is the person whose responsability is to meet with families who have shown great interest in hosting a student to share their customs and way of life.
Normally, the families have children of the same age or an approximate age to that of the students they are hosting, thus, making the integration process easier.
During the stay the student follows all the activities that the family performs, being a member of the family.
In some cases students may share a family with students of other nationalities.
Apart from learning English, we want our students to live and learn the IRISH culture.

Our supervisors:

All of our instructors are bilingual professionals with great teaching experience. As supervisors, they have the tools to face any situation that may arise during the stay of the programme.

Students can do a weekly activity if they wish. This activity is organized together with other students who are doing the programme at that time. They can be Spanish or of another nationality.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME:

This year the programme gives the option to attend an excursion or activity, once a week with a group of participants staying in the same area.

This is optional and has a small extra cost. The student will do all the leisure and sports activities that the members of the family carry out.

  • Departure from Bilbao on 12 July to 2 August 2018.
  • Teenafers from 10 to 17 years old.
  • Duration: 3 weeks.
  • Coordinator and assistance 24/7.
  • This programme does not include a language course or excursions.
  • Pick up from the airport in Cork  and transfers on arrival and departure.
  • Accommodation in a single/shared room with full-board.
  • Sometimes there might be students from other nationalities living in the same family.
  • Return flight ticket  (taxes included).
  • The group is accompanied by a bilingual supervisor during the whole stay.
  • Health, accident and liability insurance.
