The city – Vienna

Vienna, the capital of Austria, is located on the banks of the Danube and  thanks to its famous composers, such as: Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert, is known as the city of music till present today. In addition, the Children singers, the Philharmonic Orchestra or its operas make this city a place where music is essential.

Try a purely Viennese coffee in any of its baroque squares or medieval alleys is a real pleasure.

Getting to Vienna: Vienna Airport (VIE) is located 18 km from the city center. From there you can take a train, bus or taxi to get to the city center. More information on how to get from the airport to Vienna’s city center.

The school

Our school of the German course in Vienna was founded in 1988 and enjoys worldwide recognition as a private institution.

It is a modern Viennese-style building with very bright classrooms located just 15 minutes from the city center by public transport.

Its zone for students with snacks allows the students to rest and become friends.

Host Family

The families of the German course in Vienna are selected under rigorous quality criteria and are inspected annually.

The rooms are usually individual or shared, with half board from Monday to Sunday. The bathroom and the kitchen are shared with the family.

It is the best way to know and experience culture.

Residence apartaments

Our residence is located in a quiet area, 5 minutes from the metro and about 10 minutes from the school and the city center by public transport. There is a shopping center in the vicinity.

It has two types of apartments: standard and superior. Both have a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and TV. You can choose between accommodation only and cooking in the apartments, only breakfast or half board.

Most apartments have a washing machine.

The standard apartment offers staying in a single or double room with other students. The bathroom is shared with another 2-5 students.

Rooms are cleaned twice a week and bedding is provided. The bathroom clothes are not provided for the students.

The upper apartment has 30-40m2 and is for individual use for 1 or 2 people, with private bathroom. The room is cleaned daily from Monday to Friday and bed and bath linen are provided.

The classes

All of our classes include grammar, syntax and vocabulary, without neglecting oral and written expression and comprehension. Our principle is to encourage conversation and for students to speak German in real situations.

In the standard English course there are 12 students maximum, while in the intensive English course there are 8 students maximum. There is an average of 14 students per class.

These courses have 2 to 3 different teachers per day, all well qualified and with a standard German. Both have 5 weekly lessons on culture: guided tours, talks, parties, sports, etc.

Students can be incorporated on any Monday of the year, after completing the level test to be placed at the most appropriate level: from beginner to advanced.

Holidays in 2018: 28/03, 05/05, 16/05, 26/05, 15/08, 26/10, 01/11, 26/12.

SOCIAL PROGRAM:

The program of our school includes an extensive program of social and cultural activities that varies weekly: guided tours, parties, sports activities, excursions, etc.

There are other full day or half day excursions that are optional and not included in the price. They can be hired at the school with an additional cost.
