Cork is located on the southern coast of Ireland and is the second largest city in Ireland and has 150,000 inhabitants. It has a great history and at the same time it is cosmopolitan and modern, with a great atmosphere, especially of young people due to the number of students that live in it.

Cork offers a great social and cultural life with its excellent restaurants and typical Irish pubs and cafes. Cork also has many facilities to practice sports such as golf, tennis, horse riding, etc.

How to get to Cork: Cork has its own airport just 10 minutes by bus from the city. There are many airlines that fly from different parts of Spain, such as Ryanair, Aerlingus and Iberia.

From Cork airport you can reach the city center by bus and taxi.

The school

The school where our English course is taught was founded in 1975 and is located in the center of the city of Cork. It is a beautiful Georgian building, completely renovated and renovated internally.

Its location is ideal and allows you to enjoy shopping centers and restaurants within walking distance.

It is one of the most prestigious schools in Ireland and has 24 classrooms with a pleasant and comfortable learning environment.

Accommodation

Host Family

Living in a host family is the best way to immerse yourself in English as you know it in the first person. Students can stay in a single or common room. The menu includes breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and full board at weekends.

If the student stays with family, the transfer from the airport or the train station is completely free.

Dormitories

Some residences, such as University Hall, are only available from June 3 to August 19, 2018 in the summer.

Student residences Victoria Lodge and Victoria Mills are also available.

All have facilities for cooking, washing clothes and with students.

The apartments and residences are exclusive for people over 18 years old.

The class

The school that offers the program of English courses in Cork offers courses of 20 or 26 lessons per week of 55 minutes.

General English courses provide the necessary skills of the language learning process: oral, written and aural comprehension and expression.

The lessons are interactive, create real-world situations and focus on students who apply what they have learned to meet the basic needs of speaking English today.

Cambridge Exams: Our school offers specific courses throughout the year to take the Cambridge exams and the student can prepare and do the test at the same school.

In July and August, students can prepare the Cambridge First Certificate and the CAE exam in 3 and 4 weeks. Request more information about prices and dates.

Sociocultural program:

The school offers an extensive program of social and cultural activities that are different every week: guided tours, parties, sports activities and excursions.

These activities help to meet other students and practice the language.

Some social activities are included in the price, but other cultural activities and excursions are not, they are optional and have additional costs.

These trips will allow you to visit places such as Blarney Castle, the city of Kinsale with its fortress or visit cities such as Galway, Dublin or Limerick.
